Yukssam Naengmyeon
This place offers a naengmyeon and bulgogi combo at a affordable price, targeting especially university students, and it’s located near several universities in Seoul.
I visited the Hongdae branch in Mapo-gu. It's a three minute walk from Exit 9 of Hongdae Station, where Line 2 and the Airport Railroad meet. It’s on the second floor of the building, and the restaurant is small and old fashioned.
✔ Menu:
The menu consists entirely of bulgogi combos, including mul-naengmyeon with bulgogi, bibim naengmyeon with bulgogi, and bibimbap with bulgogi, You can upgrade to a large portion. There are also sides like dumplings and an extra bulgogi option.
✔ Food:
I ordered the regular mul-naengmyeon with bulgogi. The naengmyeon and bulgogi are out. Recently, naengmyeon prices has increased significantly so this combo seems very affordable.
Cut the noodles with scissors, then mixed with vinegar and mustard. Be sure to eat the egg that comes with naengmyeon first as it helps with digestion.
Put bulgogi on top of the naengmyeon and eat them in one bite. The combination of bulgogi and naengmyeon is popular, which is why many people order naengmyeon as a side dish at a galbi restaurants. The naengmyeon here has a familiar tangy taste. It's more tangy than the naengmyeon at Ha Yeon Ok, but it's less quality compared to specialty naengmyeon places. However, it is similar to those naengmyeon served as a side dish at meat restaurants, so it’s still a good place to visit when you want something cool and refreshing on a hot day for an affordable price.
