Korea Entry Requirements

FAQ

(updated 9/25/23)

Q-code:

Q. I heard Q-code is no longer needed. Do I still need Q-code?

No and Yes. I have called the immigration to confirm about this. They have told me that some countries are waived but some aren't. However, they have not given me the list. Also there is no place to check the list anywhere. Therefore, to know the answer for this question, ask the airline of your flight to Korea. They will have the answer.

But I would just do it anyways. When you enter Korea, you need to hand in an arrival card and a custom card that are given on the flight. You can fill them out on the flight or before going through the immigration when you arrive. But Q-code can be used to replace both of the paperworks. So either 1. Q-code or 2. an arrival and a custom card.

Also these paperworks or Q-code can be filled out once you arrive in the airport before going through the immigration. So if you forget to do Q-code beforehand, you can do so or fill out the arrival card and custom card instead in the airport. So no worries. But for faster entry, do them beforehand. :)
