7 Places to visit in Seoul (spring vlog)

Hello, everyone.

Are you planning a trip to Korea?

Are you looking for places to visit?

Today, I'll show you 7 places I recently visited. I visited the natural attractions where I saw a lot of cherry blossoms a few weeks ago. These places are also famous and well known attractions that are good to visit in other seasons, too. So this post will help you to plan

for your Korea trip.

Enough said let's get right into it.

📍 Seoul Forest

The first place to see is Seoul Forest. Seoul Forest is a forest where you can enjoy nature

within the city of Seoul. It was established in 2005. In spring, it’s filled with cherry blossoms.

In summer, you can escape from the heat here. In autumn, it’s adorn with fall foliage. And in winter it becomes a snowy forest. The quickest way to see cherry blossoms is to go to entrance 11. As soon as you enter, you can see cherry blossoms. If you go down the stairs and turn left, you can go deeper into the forest. You can see deers along the way. The path is called Cherry Blossom Road, where you can enjoy a long walk while admiring the cherry blossoms. There are many people enjoying the cherry blossoms. After the Cherry Blossom Road, there are vast fields where children are playing and people walking their dogs. There are various places to chill in the forest, so it's a great place to visit anytime.

Seoul Forest is located on the east side of Seoul. If you're using the subway, you can get there by getting of at Seoul Forest Station on the Bundang Line or Ttukseom Station on line 2.

📍 Eungbongsan

Next is Eungbongsan. Eungbongsan is a low mountain located in the center of Seoul. By simply walking up a few stairs, you can enjoy the views of Han River and the city. To get to Eungbongsan, get off at Exit 1 of Eungbongsan Station and head left. Follow the arrows on the ground and you'll see stairs leading up to Eungbongsan. As you walk up here, you'll already start to see the view. Continue walking up while enjoying the view. In spring, you can see Eungbongsan adorned with yellow forthysias. You’ll reach the top quickly. At the top,

there is an Octagonal Pavilion. Although you can’t enter the pavilion, you can still enjoy the view in front of it. If you go down on the opposite side from where you came up, you'll find a path leading to Seoul Forest. So it's also nice to go down to the Seoul Forest after seeing Eungbongsan. Eungbongsan is famous for its Forthysia Festival in spring and it's also well known for its night views. Even with just a short walk, you can enjoy the view of Seoul making it a perfect place you can visit anytime throughout the year. Eungbongsan is located in Seongdong-gu. If you're using the subway, you can get there from Eungbong Station

on Gyeongui Jungang Line.

📍 Mangwon Huiujeong-ro

I always visit here during cherry blossom season. It’s easy to get to and not too crowded

compared to other cherry blossom spots. Most of all, the cherry blossoms are truly amazing here. I've talked about this place a lot in my other video, so I think you already know about this place. Still, for those who might not seen the videos, let me briefly tell you about this place. They are cafes and small restaurants along the street and there are Mangwon, Hapjeong, Yeonnam, and Hongdae nearby, as well as Mangwon Han River Park. There are plenty of things to see and do. For more details, refer to this video. Mangwon Huiujeong-ro is located in Mapo-gu. If you're using the subway, you can get there from Hapjeong Station

on Line 2 and Line 6.

📍 Seokchon Lake

Next is Seokchon Lake located in Jamsil. Seokchon Lake is also known as Cherry Blossom Spot. You can enjoy various view here such as Lake and Cherry Blossoms, Magic Castle and Cherry Blossoms and Lotte Tower and cherry blossoms, which makes it a great place to visit.

Even when is not in cherry blossom season, it’s a great place for a walk. Also, there are plenty of places to eat and things to see around here, so it's good to visit any time. However, during the cherry blossom season there are a lot of people. It’s more like people-watching than cherry blossom viewing. Also, when I went there, I could only walk in one direction because there were staff guiding people to go in one direction to prevent accidents. So I wasn't able to fully enjoy the cherry blossoms. Seokchon Lake is located in Songpa-gu. If you're using the subway, you can get there from Seokchon Station on Line 9 and Line 8 or Jamsil Station on Line 2 and Line 8.

📍 Salgoji Bridge

Salgoji Bridge is a short bridge located near Soul Forest. There isn't much to see here, but I still wanted to introduce this bridge because of its deep history. Construction of this bridge

began during the Joseon Dynasty, initiated by King Taejong, the third Joseon king, in 1420.

It was completed in 1483. This bridge was used as a major thoroughfare connecting Hanyang, the capital at the time, with the southeastern region. However, the bridge was disconnected because of the great flood in 1925, and it was restored in 1972. Salgoji Bridge is the longest extant stone bridge from the Joseon Dynasty and is registered as Korean treasure. I want to introduce this bridge because I thought it might be interesting to those

who love to visit historical sites. If you happen to be in the area, take a walk across the bridge. Salgoji Bridge is located in Seongdong-gu. If you're using the subway, you can get there from Hangyang University Station or Ttukseom Station on Line 2.

📍 Children's Grand Park

Next, I visit a Children's Grand Park. Children's Grand Park opened in 1970s and was the largest amusement park in Seoul before Lotte World was built. Now is a grand park with various facilities, including amusement rides, a zoo, botanical gardens and sports fields.

This place is also known for its cherry blossoms. Particulary it’s a spot where people come to enjoy picnics under the cherry blossoms. It’s a great place for those who want to spend time

with their children while having a picnic or just to go around the park. Children’s Grant Park is located in Gwangjin-gu. If you're using the subway, you can get there from Achasan Station on Line 5 or Children's Grand Park Station on Line 7.

📍 Olympic Park

Next is Olympic Park. Olympic Park was originally the site of the 88 Seoul Olympics. Now it has been transformed into a representative urban park of Seoul. The Songpa Ttrail, which surrounds the upper part of Olympic Park, is famous for its cherry blossoms. It’s a great place to walk or ride a bike along the extended path to enjoy the cherry blossoms.

Inside Olympic Park, there are well formed park trails and you can see the famous Alone Tree here. A hidden cherry blossom spot in Olympic Park is Octagonal Pavilion. The cherry blossoms surrounding Octagonal Pavilion located on the western side of Olympic Park

are amazing. If you want to enjoy nature in Seoul, visit Olympic Park. Olympic Park is located in Songpa-gu. If you're using the subway, you can get there from Mongchontoseong Station on Line 8 or from Hanseong Baekje Station and Olympic Park Station on line 9.

Okay, today I introduce places I recently visited during the cherry blossom season. These places are well known spots and attractions that you probably might know already. So when you come to Korea, be sure to visit them.
